Strawberry Pineapple Punch

This strawberry banana smoothie is an easy, wholesome recipe made from fresh ingredients. It’s creamy, sweet, healthy, and can be made with dairy or dairy-free. It’s the perfect summer smoothie!

Strawberry Pineapple Punch

Most mornings, breakfast is a fight in our family, unless there's a smoothie involved! Every time I prepare this strawberry banana smoothie, I can always depend on my sons to gulp it down in a big glass.

We enjoy fruity smoothies, and this one is delicious! Strawberries, bananas, yogurt, and orange juice are just a few components.

It features the perfect combination of fresh and frozen fruit for the creamiest texture and a sweet (but not too sweet) flavor. It's a hit with both kids and adults!

Strawberry Pineapple Punch

You'll Need
Only four components are required!

  • Strawberries, whole or sliced, frozen
  • ripe banana
  • Yogurt, vanilla or plain (we prefer vanilla)
  • The juice of oranges (water works too)
Smoothie Substitutions
This smoothie recipe, like many smoothie recipes, is entirely modifiable! Here are a few different fruits that we occasionally substitute or add. You may use either fresh or frozen fruit, but I prefer the smoothness of smoothies made with combined fresh and frozen fruit (like using frozen strawberries and a fresh banana).
  • Blueberries
  • Pineapple
  • Peaches
  • Mango
  • Watermelon
We've tried these additions and substitutions, but the sky's the limit when it comes to smoothie variants. Feel free to be inventive!

Smoothie Suggestions

  • Purchase a nice blender! This Calphalon blender was given to me as a present, and I really like it. I've also heard excellent things about Ninja blenders (around $100).
  • Begin on low speed and gradually increase to ensure that everything is mixed nicely.
  • In a blender, layer the following ingredients in the next order: liquids and yogurt, fresh soft fruit, and frozen fruit.
  • This recipe may be adjusted up or down to suit your needs!
  • To thicken a smoothie, add ice or extra frozen fruit.
  • Add extra water, juice, or milk to make a smoothie thinner.
  • To clean your blender, fill it halfway with water and a few drops of dish soap. Blend on high for a few seconds, then completely rinse.
  • Freeze fruit in a single layer on a sheet pan coated with parchment or wax paper, then transfer to a zipped top freezer bag. In this method, the fruit is frozen separately rather than as one large frozen lump.
